For this reason, a group of 92 pulmonologists belonging to the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR) has updated the consensus document on severe asthma in adults, which is published in the Open Respiratory Archives. The objectives of the document are to improve treatment and quality of life and to decrease the mortality rate of these patients.
